There is always going to be those songs that every true nerd can hum and opera sing their hearts out to. And we couldn't help but share some of those classic tunes.
Hedwig's theme - john williams
Even if you've never watched Harry Potter, there's a really good chance you've heard of this song. That is unless you've been living in a Alternate Dystopian Dimension and JK Rolling isn't there, which in some ways, might actually be nice. No matter, the nerds of this dimension know this by heart and desperately wish they could go to Hogwarts just by listening.
The Imperial March - John Williams
It was a pretty big toss up between the Star Wars Main Theme and The Imperial March, but it was The Imperial March that won in the end. This song is so badass, if you walked into a room with this playing, you'd own the entire room. Maybe even get some bows. Try it some time.
indiana jones theme song - john (yes again) williams
If any of us ever wanted to be adventurous archeologists, this would be our theme song. You can't get cooler than Indiana Jones . This song is a perfect compliment to how truly epic a man with a fedora and whip can actually be.
Ghostbusters - Ray Parker Jr.
How ya gonna call?! If we didn't have this song, the world would be a sadder and grayer place. There are the serious paranormal teams and then there are us, the Ghostbusters. And I mean come on, Venkman and this song, this movie will always ran supreme in the horror comedy genre. Thank you, Ray Parker Jr. You are amazing.
007 theme song - john barry
The names Bond, James Bond. Shaken not stirred. This song is the ultimate spy song and to the nerd population, the only cool one there is. If you don't feel even a little bit like Sean Connery after listening to this, you're probably lying to yourself.
Duel of the Fates - John (he's done everything okay) Williams
Possibly the only good thing to come out of the first movie was by far this song. That and Darth Maul. This song reaches whole new epic-ness that is so truly Star Wars. We all want to duel to this and if we hear this song, and we have lightsabers (or broomsticks), it's on.
Doctor Who Theme Song - Murray Gold
If you know Doctor Who, you know this song by heart. No matter what Doctor is your favorite, this song remains the same, dooo-wee-doo-dooo-weee-dooo! And we love it. And you love it. And it's awesome. And it makes us cry. MANLY TEARS.
star trek theme - alexander courage
No matter what side you've chosen, Star Wars or Star Trek, or hey, you're cool and you like both, you know this song and this saying by heart. At least a little bit. To go where no man has gone before, hella.
lotr theme song - leonard rosenman
If you don't get some feels from this epic orchestral piece, you're not a very good Hobbit. Listening to this takes you back to the Middle-Earth, all so happy and friendly and then towards the end you're at that Volcano, about ready to drop the ring inside. This song makes even the coldest and gold obsessed melt.
Batman Theme song - Danny Elfman
I'm batman. This song is apart of the younger nerds' childhoods and in the memory of older nerds. We have to give major props to Danny Elfman for creating this rad theme song. This makes all of us want a bat cave.
And that about rounds it up for the nerd songs we all can hum to. I bet you've got a couple stuck in your head now. You're welcome.
